Relationship with your colleagues
Present yourself to your colleagues and try to remember their names. Say their name every time after they say it so you remember it better. Be polite coz first impression is most important.
On first day it’s needed for you to ask some question, everyone are helpful because they will feel better so there is no need to be “alone” there. On the other side, if you reject help, count on that your colleague will feel uncomfortably because of rejection. Thant’s a bad start. On the other side you should not ask a lot of question, especially if you know to do it yourself.
Business relationship if no communication topics
Find some things to talk together to your colleagues, but not business topics. Music, sport, books, and it’s desirable to avoid extreme topics as divorce, marriage, politics, philosophy. Keep it simple.
Use break to drink coffee or get lunch with someone of colleagues. Meeting out of the office leave for latter time when professional relations are ready and set.
Pay attention to gossip but do not participate in them. Personal information keep for yourself. All you can say can and maybe will be counted in wrong way so don’t spread rumors keep secret etc. Gossip topics can be very problematic. All can break on you never mind if it’s not your fault. That is why good business relationship should be considered in all aspects. Even if possibility of gossip is there. Pay attention but not participate in them. Mind your own business.
Some companies have in their Rule of conduct regulated many things. Even gossip. In modern business, team is very important. It is essence of progress. Good relationship is good progress. It is like that. So good relationship is to be kept with your colleagues. And maybe, when you get to know somebody from your team, you will be great friends, and your work will be easier.
