Clothing Dressing code
When you are starting to work in new company, you need to inform yourself about clothes policy in there and coordinate your clothes and what’s expected of you. Otherwise, HR department can send you away from work to change your clothes with verbal warning for inappropriate clothing. If you continue to break a rules HR manager could use disciplinary measures against you. If you are not certain you could contact HR department to ask about where is the limit with your personality in stretching the clothes limit, even if they are not still set.
In some companies flip flops or slippers can maybe ok, but on the other side for that clothes you could get very much in trouble.
Corporate colors and uniforms are sometimes very welcome. The are part of complete marketing policy of some company. On the other end they should look nice and feel nice. It will be on you, every day for eight hours. So it should.
I guess, you will sometimes have a problem with uniforms. They maybe are not part of your personal life. But that is different. You should respect your your company policy about it, and not get in problems. It will be a part of your business life.
If you don’t find out what are rules of clothing in company before you start, or on start of your work, it could be problem for you. You could get by just with warning. Or you could get with stronger punishment. It depends of the situation. But either way it is not comfortable to be in that position. Once again, prepare well, it is possible.
