Casual clothes on work
Business or casual clothes
I guess every time it’s answer casual clothes. Why? It is like everything in life, you are comfortable in what you are used to. You love it, can choose variation, colors of your gym clothes, t-shirts, jeans etc. Not the situation with your business clothes. In business, you could maybe choose few colors. And few in combination with tie and belt or shoes. But if you want to have business look and look successful you have to wear suit. But, not all companies are with rigid dress code. Some have less standard way of showing respect to their clients with “uniforms”.
I guess, informal clothes is sometimes welcome. Sometimes, big international companies welcome casual clothes during one day of the week, to release the pressure. Second reason could be so clients could feel more welcome. When client comes in your company and see that you are same as they are, they feel more relaxed.
Proper and improper casual clothes
Not all casual clothes is proper for work place. If it custom in your company, and allowed, to wear “business casual” for dress code, that means that employer wants for his employees to feel very comfortable. On the other side, it’s for sure needed to look professional, as for clients as for clients, as for new employees, as for visitors. Casual business look is wide spread over companies today. Dress code is changed too. It is becoming more flexible, so the list “do” and “don’t” is always changed. Basic is always specific for every company, but you have to mix it with your own thinking and rational decision making. It’s purpose is how to implement that decisions.
When you are fashionista, it is ok for you personally. But in that sense it is not corporate look. Maybe in fashion business but in every other it is not very common to have that kind of employee. Think about it.
