What is burnout syndrome?

Symptoms of burnout syndrome
Physical symptoms – in this category most common one are fatigue and exhaustion which can be seen as sign for many other problems, even if people don’t take it seriously. Insomnia is symptom which can be seen at the beginning, before starting to solving problem. There are many more individual symptoms that can be noticed and registered as problem of burnout. Decreased immunity, increase use of sedatives, cigarettes or alcohol, increase or decrease of body weight are some of them.
Emotional symptoms – are very tough to be believed by person who has them. The main reason is they are very dangerous, but tough to prove to yourself. Symptoms are depression, emotional emptiness, anxiety, motivation loss for job, apathy, isolation, loss of self respect, loss of self confidence etc. And if you have them you will feel very empty inside.
Behavior symptoms – Change in behavior is most certainly psychological condition which can be defined as reaction on problems that are occurring in every day work. Difficult thing is that this problem can make it more and more, bigger and bigger because one problem is creating another. Main symptoms are, loosing in concentration, forgetfulness, hypersensitivity, harshness, unfriendliness, breakup of friendship’s, even suicidal thinking. All big problems, don’t you think?
All this burnout symptoms can result in many problems for person. Both physical and mental. It is very serious condition with very serious consequences. Business people consider it as primary modern illness. Important thing is to see them when they are about to start to influence you and prevent them. Great way is to find the another work environment. If that is not possible in that moment, keep looking. In meanwhile, find some positive thing to keep your mind off problems.
